If the feed rate is too low, due to the friction heat, the printed circuit board material softens or even melts or scorches, blocking the chip removal groove of the milling cutter, and cutting can not be carried out.
If the feed is too fast, the milling cutter will wear fast, the radial load will be large, the cutter capacity will be large, the working quality will be poor, and the size will be inconsistent. How to judge the feeding speed? The following items should be considered: PCB material, thickness, number of blocks per stack, iron knife diameter, chip removal slot. Generally, it can be set according to the technical data provided by the tool supplier. Due to the difference of the material quality brand and manufacturing process of the tool, the tool process parameters of different manufacturers are different.
